I think after a year and a half my artist's block is mostly gone. A few months ago I found a website with all of Takeuchi Naoko's artwork for the Sailor Moon manga. I've loved SM since I was a kid. But since I watched the tv show first, and then found the manga, I actually hated the manga style because I was used to the anime! But as I got older and really looked at Takeuchi's manga artwork I came to love it more. I love the way she does eyes. The way she paints everything so soft and flowy. I want to master that! Sailor Moon as always stuck with me as a source of inspiration. Not so much the characters of the show or even the show itself. It's the child like feeling it always reminds me of. The simpleness of love, magic, and cute girls in school uniforms. Hahaha.
